College Connect Advising is built on a foundation that is rare in the world of college counseling: an intersectional understanding of K–12 education, disability rights, and university retention.

Before launching our advising practice, our background included 25 years in the K–12 classroom teaching GATE, Special Education, ESL, and AVID, later earning a Juris Doctor (JD) and working as a dedicated Special Education Advocate. But our expertise doesn't stop at high school graduation. We also bring direct, hands-on experience working within UCLA’s bridge programs, academic and socioemotional counseling, and student retention initiatives, as well as working alongside the admissions office.

We don't just understand college admissions; we understand the IEP and 504 legal frameworks, the asynchronous development of exceptional minds, and the real-world academic and emotional demands students face once they step onto a university campus.

We are passionate about working with students to plan a future built around their strengths. We feel a profound connection to twice- and thrice-exceptional (2e/3e) learners—we see past the executive functioning hurdles and learning differences to focus on their extraordinary intellectual curiosity, resilience, and brilliance. Our guiding philosophy is simple: we believe that with the right supports, in an environment that truly nurtures their gifts, 2e and 3e students will not only succeed in college—they will thrive and have a wonderful, transformative experience.

By collaborating directly with university accessibility offices and academic departments, our targeted advising approach yields incredible results. We advocate for our students' brilliance every step of the way, helping them gain acceptance into their safety, fit, and highly competitive reach schools.

Our students have been celebrated and accepted into a diverse array of prestigious programs, including:

• Small Liberal Arts Colleges (SLACs), including ultra-selective schools like Colby College (6–7% acceptance rate).

• The University of California (UC) System and large, competitive private universities across the United States.

• World-Class International Universities, including the University of York, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of St. Andrews in the UK.

Because of our background in university retention and socioemotional counseling, our goal is never just getting your student an acceptance letter—it is ensuring they have the tools, self-advocacy skills, and campus support systems to stay, thrive, and graduate.
